Steady Climb Up the Standings Tim Stewart turned in a strong all-around performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, highlighted by an impressive bike leg that saw him hold roughly 17.6 mph over the course, briefly putting him inside the top 10 overall through the first several bike splits. His swim was efficient and set up a clean transition into the bike, where his early pacing was clearly a strength before settling into a more moderate rhythm over the back half of the ride. Compared to his previous two Spudman finishes, Tim's overall placement continues to trend upward moving from 726th overall in 2024 to 390th in 2025 and now 279th in 2026, even though his total time was a few minutes slower than last year's effort. The run showed a similar pattern to the bike: a swift start near 8:47/mile that gradually slowed over the final miles. Tightening up that late-run pacing could be the next step toward an even stronger finish next season.
