A Strong Step Forward Toward the Podium Danny closed out the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 4:21:25, marking his fastest finish since 2023 and a solid improvement over his 2025 result of 4:29:59. That improvement translated directly to the leaderboard he climbed from 26th to 15th in the 65-69 Solo Male division, matching his best-ever divisional placing from 2023. His run split held strong late in the race, and his bike leg carried a steady pace of roughly 12.7 mph over nearly 24.4 miles, showing consistent power delivery across a demanding course profile. Looking at the details, both transitions stand out as areas to sharpen T1 at 11:12 and T2 at 7:46 were on the longer side compared to his overall race pace. Trimming even a minute or two from each could shave meaningful time off the final clock without needing to push harder in the water, on the bike, or on the run. Overall, this was a well-rounded, disciplined performance that reflects continued consistency at Spudman year after year.
