Third-Place Finish Caps a Determined Effort Ann Garn, 69, of Burley, ID, crossed the line in 2:07:31 at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, earning 3rd place in the competitive 60-69 Female division. She exited the swim in 231st overall, then made a strong push on the bike, climbing to 194th place early in the ride and maintaining a solid pace of roughly 13.9 mph across the 12-mile bike leg. Her ability to move up steadily through the field on two wheels was a highlight of her race. Compared to her 2025 Spudman result of 1:59:03, this year's overall time was slower, yet she improved her division standing from 4th to 3rd place. Transition times, particularly T1 at just under 7 minutes, offer an area to target for future races. Overall, Ann's consistent effort across all three disciplines reflects a well-rounded, seasoned racing approach.
