Strong Bike Effort Highlights a Slower Overall Day Aaron finished the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 4:13:57, starting with a 34:16 swim before a 9:31 T1. His bike leg stood out, averaging roughly 13.5 mph over the course, with several stretches particularly between miles 14 and 19 climbing above 16 mph. A brisk 6:06 T2 led into a 1:35:18 run, where Aaron showed strong late-race pacing, dropping from a 16:29 opening mile to sub-14:00 miles by the finish. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 3:49:57, this year's result came in about 24 minutes slower. The dip suggests room to tighten transition times, as T1 and T2 combined took over 15 minutes, and to work toward more consistent bike splits, which fluctuated notably throughout the ride.
