A Breakout Performance: Nearly 24 Minutes Faster Jessica Juarez turned in her strongest Spudman performance yet, finishing the 2026 Sprint Triathlon in 2:12:31 a dramatic improvement over her 2:36:18 finish in the same event last year. That leap moved her from 215th to 167th among women and into the top half of her competitive field overall, a clear sign of steady progress build across the whole race rather than one standout leg. Her bike split stood out as the highlight, averaging roughly 11.8 mph over the course, a notable step up in cycling strength compared to her prior sprint outing. The swim and transitions were efficient and consistent with her improved overall pacing, while the run held steady late in the race. With this kind of across-the-board gain, Jessicas next focus could be tightening transition times further to keep chipping away at that overall clock.
