Powerful Bike Leg Anchors a Gritty Sprint Finish Megan Hansen turned in a strong all-around performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, highlighted by an outstanding bike leg. She averaged roughly 15 mph over the bike course, a segment where she climbed as high as 2nd in her division during the second bike split a clear strength to build on. Her swim was steady, and quick transitions (T1: 4:21, T2: 4:11) kept her moving efficiently between disciplines. The run proved to be the tougher half of her day, with pace slowing notably over the final miles from a strong 3:18/mile split early in the bike-to-run transition zone to a 13:33 pace by the finish. This late fade suggests run endurance could be a focus area for Megan heading into future races, especially given how well she executed the swim and bike legs. Overall, she finished in 2:01:46, placing 126th among 570 female finishers.
