Consistent Effort Powers a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Tia Patterson opened her race with a steady swim through the Snake Rivers current, transitioning efficiently into the bike leg. On the bike, she averaged roughly 15 mph across the Olympic-distance course, holding a strong and consistent effort throughout the ride. Her transition times were efficient, showing solid preparation and race-day execution as she moved smoothly between disciplines. The run leg saw Tia settle into a steady rhythm, maintaining a consistent pace over the final 10K to close out her race. While her overall pacing showed some natural fluctuation over the runs later miles, she maintained composure to the finish line, crossing in 3:40:59. Her performance reflects balanced training across all three disciplines, with the bike segment standing out as a particular strength. Continued focus on run pacing in the later miles could help her build even more consistency in future races.
