Strong Bike Surge Powers a Solid Olympic Finish Julia Evans completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:21:44, finishing 899th overall and 196th among women, placing 22nd in the competitive 40-44 age group. Her swim leg covered 0.86 miles, setting up a bike segment where she truly excelled averaging roughly 14.3 mph over 23.26 miles. A standout stretch came during the B5 split, where she clocked 20:12 for 5.6 miles at a blistering 3:36/mile pace, climbing to 310th overall and 9th in her division during that segment alone. The run leg saw Julia cover 6.21 miles in 1:10:51, maintaining a steady rhythm through the final miles before finishing strong with a 4:33 pace over the last tenth of a mile. Her T1 transition took 5:15, an area where trimming time could help tighten her overall split, especially given the strength she showed on the bike shortly after.
