Steady Effort Across a Well-Paced Triathlon Jacob completed the Olympic-distance Spudman Triathlon in 3:21:18, blending a solid swim with a strong, consistent bike leg. He came out of the water in 28:21, showing solid open-water speed, then transitioned in just over four minutes. On the bike, he averaged close to 14.8 mph, with a clear surge in the middle milessplits near 3:363:37 min/mileshowing he found a strong rhythm and pushed hard once he settled into the ride. The run leg told a slightly different story, starting strong with a 10:42 mile before gradually easing to an 11:14 pace by the final stretch. This late-race fade suggests his bike effort may have been slightly front-loaded, leaving less in the tank for the run. Overall, a well-rounded performance with a bike leg that stood out as the highlight of the day.
