A Strong Ride Fuels a Solid Sprint Finish Karen Duzy completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 3:02:27, finishing 434th overall and 22nd in the Female 50-59 division out of 570 participants. Her bike leg was the highlight of the day, where she averaged roughly 9.4 mph over the course, showing strong, steady power that helped her climb into the top 20% of the field mid-ride before settling into her overall pace for the rest of the leg. The run proved to be the toughest stretch, with her pace settling in the high-teens per mile, suggesting some fatigue after a strong bike effort. Additionally, her transition timesespecially T1 at 10:50stood out as an area where a few seconds could be trimmed with more practice.
