A Strong Bike Leg Fuels a Solid Sprint Finish Amanda Holverson turned in a well-rounded performance, highlighted by a bike split that averaged roughly 15.3 mph over the course. That effort moved her into the 200s overall by the bike dismount, a clear improvement from her position exiting the swim. The run showed some real punch in the middle miles during one stretch just past T2, Amanda climbed as high as 53rd overall and 5th in her division, a great sign of leg turnover once she found her rhythm. Her pace settled in the back half, finishing the run in just under 39 minutes. Combined with a swift transition through T1 and T2, Amanda finished in 2:00:19, placing 28th in her competitive 20-29 division. With that early run surge as a proof point, dialing in a more consistent run pace could unlock an even stronger finish next time.
