Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Brady Squires #7198 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Solid Swim and Bike Effort Set the Foundation for a Strong Olympic Finish Brady Squires turned in a well-balanced performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, highlighted by an efficient swim leg that had him inside the top 400 exiting the water. He carried that momentum onto the bike, averaging roughly 14.9 mph over the course, a pace that kept him competitive through the midpoint of the race and reflected consistent power output across the ride. The run proved to be the most demanding portion of the day, with pacing gradually settling into the mid-14:00s per mile as fatigue set in over the second half. Transitions were efficient, with T1 and T2 combined under 13 minutes, showing good preparation between disciplines. Overall, Brady's swim-bike execution was the clear strength of the race, and continued run-specific endurance work could help him close the gap between his cycling and running splits in future events.
