Strong Bike Leg Fuels Solid Sprint Finish Oakley Hogge turned in a well-rounded performance at this year's Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing 127th overall out of 570 and 13th in her competitive 20-29 age group. Her bike leg stood out as a clear strength, covering the course at a brisk 14.9 mph average, which moved her up into the top third of the field by T2. She also showed a strong closing kick on the run, climbing to as high as 39th overall and 3rd in her division during one mid-run split before settling into a steady final pace to the finish. With a smooth transition through T1 and T2, Oakley maintained good positional momentum throughout the race. Building a bit more consistency in the swim could help her carry even more speed into the bike, where she's already proven she can move well.
