Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Benjamin Stewart #7204 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Strong Swim Leg Anchors a Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Benjamin posted a swim split of 19:05 for the 0.86-mile course, good for 84th overall and a top-10% showing in the water clearly his strongest segment of the day. He transitioned quickly (T1: 4:17) before settling into a bike leg that covered roughly 24.4 miles in 1:24:39, averaging about 17.3 mph. Bike pace was strongest in the early-to-mid miles, with 3:023:19/mile splits before easing slightly toward the dismount. The run told a different story, starting at a solid 12:05 pace for the first mile before gradually slowing through the back half, finishing near 15:45/mile by mile 31. This marks a step back from his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:42:07, suggesting run endurance late in Olympic-distance racing could be a focus area moving forward. Still, the swim performance stands out as a real highlight worth building on.
