Steady Pacing and a Swift Bike Leg Highlight a Solid Olympic-Distance Effort Kathryn opened with a 25:26 swim before settling into a strong bike leg, covering the course at roughly 15.7 mph. Her fastest stretch came between miles 8.8 and 19, where she averaged near 17.6 mph, showing good power on the flatter sections before easing slightly through the rolling final miles. Transitions were on the longer side, with T1 at 7:16 and T2 at 3:13, an area where shaving time could tighten her overall result. The run leg was impressively consistent, holding between 11:2011:45 per mile for most of the 6.2-mile course, and she closed strong with a final quarter-mile near 11:00 pace before sprinting the last tenth in just 27 seconds. A well-paced, evenly executed race overall.
