A Mid-Race Bike Surge Fuels a Steady Olympic Finish Kiera Petersen crossed the line in 4:42:28, opening with a steady swim down the Snake River in 27:35. Once on the bike, she found her groove, hammering a 5.6-mile stretch at nearly 13.5 mph her fastest sustained effort of the day before wrapping up the 24.4-mile ride in 2:10:48. Transitions ran on the longer side, with T1 taking 12:20 and T2 adding another 7:04, both areas worth targeting in future races.
