Steady Effort Capped by a Mid-Bike Surge and a Sprinting Finish Stacy Weaver's Olympic-distance day showed a well-paced swim and a bike leg that picked up serious momentum in the middle miles. After settling into the ride, she pushed her pace up to nearly 12.5 mph for a 12-plus mile stretch, well above her overall bike average of about 11.2 mph a clear sign of strong power once she found her rhythm. Transitions ran a bit long, offering a spot to tighten up for future races. On the run, Stacy held a consistent effort in the 1617 minute-per-mile range across the 10K, a steady approach that avoided major fade over the closing miles. She capped things off with a notable final kick, dropping to an 8:16 pace over the last tenth of a mile a strong, controlled finish to a well-managed Olympic-distance effort.
