Strong Bike Split Powers Solid Sprint Finish Cody Heath completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in Castle Rock, CO in 2:42:52, finishing 424th overall out of 570 athletes and 39th in the Men's 20-29 division. The bike leg was clearly Cody's strongest segment, where he averaged roughly 13.6 mph and climbed as high as 139th overall on the road, showing a real knack for the cycling portion of this race. The swim and run legs presented more room to gain ground, with Cody settling around 200th in gender rankings after both segments. Transitions were on the longer side, with T1 and T2 each taking over 10 minutesan area where shaving time could yield quick overall gains without needing to change fitness. Building run speed off the bike will be key to moving up in future results, as the run pace lagged behind the strong bike effort. Overall, a solid foundation with clear direction for improvement.
