Consistent Pacing and a Strong Bike Leg Drive a Top-15 Olympic Finish Scott Christensen turned in a well-rounded performance at this years Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing 15th overall out of 1,987 finishers and taking 2nd in the competitive 45-49 age group. His bike leg stood out as a key strength, averaging roughly 22.9 mph and moving him into the top 15 in his gender field by the end of the ridea clear indicator of strong power and pacing on two wheels. Off the bike, Scott settled into a steady rhythm on the run, holding mile splits in the low-7:00 range through the final stretch, a sign of solid aerobic conditioning after the bike effort. While his overall time of 2:12:01 was a few minutes off his personal best at this race (2:08:27 in 2024), his consistent split trends and improved overall placement compared to his 2022 and 2023 results show continued strength across all three disciplines.
