Strong Bike Surge Powers a Big Personal Best Mackenzie shaved nearly 14 minutes off her previous Spudman finish, improving from 3:36:19 to 3:22:38 and climbing over 400 spots in the overall standings. Her swim (24:02) and run (1:16:50) were steady, but the bike leg stood out cruising at roughly 15.85 mph over the 24.4-mile course. A standout mid-ride segment saw her climb to 6th in her division, a clear sign of strong power on rolling terrain. Transitions offer a clear area to sharpen: T1 (5:21) and T2 (4:07) were both markedly slower than her surrounding splits, dropping her places each time. Tightening those changeovers could translate directly into faster overall results without needing to add fitness. Overall, this was a well-rounded, notably improved performance from her last outing on this course.
