Strong Swim-Bike Combo Sets Up a Grinding Run Logan Draney crossed the finish line of the Olympic distance in 3:52:59, placing 921st among men and 63rd in the competitive 19-24 age group. His swim split of 33:29 on the Snake Rivers current was a solid start, and he moved through T1 in a brisk 3:50 to get onto the bike quickly. On the bike, Draney averaged roughly 13.7 mph over the course, holding steady pacing through the middle miles before a quick 2:19 T2. The run told a different story his pace began strong at 11:21 for the first mile but steadily slowed, dropping to over 16:30 per mile by the final stretch. Building run durability off the bike could help him close out future Olympic-distance races with more consistency in the back half.
