Steady Pacing and Strong Bike Splits Drive a Slight Personal Best Rochelle Baugh turned in a strong all-around performance, finishing in 2:08:46 a slight improvement over her previous outing at 2:09:28. Her bike leg was a highlight, averaging roughly 13.6 mph and featuring a blistering final push of 16.4 mph pace, showing solid finishing strength on two wheels. She also climbed into 11th place in her 50-59 age division, up from 17th previously, a clear sign of progress in the field. The run leg showed consistent effort, holding a steady rhythm through the final miles despite fatigue typical after a hard bike segment. Transition times were efficient, particularly T1, helping preserve overall momentum. Building on this bike strength, incorporating some run-specific speed work could help her close the gap even further in future races, especially given the strong foundation shes already built on the bike and in the water.
