Major Breakout Performance Marks a Year-Over-Year Leap Brent turned in a standout improvement this year, shaving over 20 minutes off his previous finish and climbing from 24th to 10th in his 60-69 division. His swim came in at 24:20, followed by a crisp 5:32 T1 into a bike leg that averaged roughly 15.2 mph over 12.45 miles, including a strong middle stretch pushing closer to 17 mph. A quick 2:26 T2 got him onto the run, where he covered the final 3.11 miles in 40:53 with steady, even pacing throughout. Finishing 261st overall and 135th among men, Brent's race reflected consistent gains across every leg compared to last year. Both transitions were notably efficient, and the bike split in particular showed real strength. Building a bit more speed into the swim could be a worthwhile focus for continued progress next season.
