Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Jake Woodhouse #9547 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Consistent Effort Delivers a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Jake completed the Olympic distance in 3:24:08, highlighted by a strong bike leg. Covering just over 24 miles in 1:38:39, he averaged close to 14.8 mph, with one stretch near the 14-mile mark clocking an impressive 3:23/mile pace, showing real strength on the flatter or downhill sections of the course. His swim came in at 26:12, and he moved efficiently through both transitions in just over five minutes each. The run presented the toughest stretch of the day, settling into an 11:05/mile average over the final 6.2 miles. Given the strength shown on the bike, theres a clear opportunity to build more run durability off the bike to match that cycling power. Overall, a well-rounded race with a bike performance that stood out as the clear highlight.
