Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Hannah Nordfelt #2200 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Steady Pacing Across the Distance, with Bike Speed as the Highlight Hannah completed the Olympic distance in 3:52:44, built on a 32:49 swim, a 1:44:55 bike leg, and a 1:18:16 run. Her bike split translates to just under 14 mph overall, with her strongest stretch coming late in the ridehitting nearly 15 mph as she covered back-to-back segments in the 4:014:03 min/mile range. The run settled into a consistent rhythm, holding roughly 12:1212:56 min/mile through the final miles. Transitions offer the clearest opportunity for time savings: T1 took 10:56 and T2 added 5:49, together accounting for more than 16 minutes. Tightening these could meaningfully improve overall time without needing to change swim, bike, or run fitness. The bike leg showed real strength in its closing miles, and carrying that intensity earlier in the ride could yield an even faster split next time out.
