Strong Bike Split Highlights a Solid Olympic Finish Spencer completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:47:14, finishing 226th among men and 30th in the competitive 30-34 age group. His swim was efficient, covering the current-aided Snake River swim in 21:44. The bike leg was the standout of the day averaging roughly 17.6 mph over the 23-mile course, a strong, steady effort that moved him up several overall placements by T2. The run leg settled in around a 9:34/mile pace across the 6.2-mile course, holding position well through the final miles. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:33:02, this year's time was slower overall, suggesting an opportunity to sharpen run pacing and transition efficiency (T1 took nearly 5 minutes) to close that gap in future races. Overall, a well-rounded performance with the bike leg as the clear highlight of the day.
