Steady Bike Power Highlights a Slower-Than-Usual Spudman Return Macy Butterfield crossed the line in 2:49:22, good for 303rd overall and 45th in the competitive 35-39 age group among 1,987 finishers at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon. That mark trails his previous three appearances at this race, most notably his breakout 2024 result of 2:18:27, which landed him 108th overall and 7th in his division a reminder of the higher ceiling he's shown here before. The bike was the standout segment this time, covering roughly 24.4 miles in 1:24:40, translating to about 17.3 mph and reflecting solid, consistent effort across the ride. Transition work was mixed T2 was sharp at 2:08, while T1 ran longer at 5:04, an area worth tightening. The run leg closed things out in just under 55 minutes, a steady if unspectacular finish to cap the day.
