Strong Swim Sets the Tone for a Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Kade Argyle opened his race with a standout swim, exiting the water 20th overall and 1st in his 19-24 age groupan outstanding start that set the tone for the rest of the day. He carried that momentum into a bike leg averaging roughly 20.2 mph, helping him move efficiently through the course before settling into a run that maintained a consistent per-mile rhythm in the low 7:50s to 8:00 range over the closing miles. Finishing in 2:19:31, Kade placed 34th overall out of 1,987 finishers and 3rd in his competitive age division. This result tracks closely with his 2025 Spudman finish (2:14:33, also top-3 in division) and shows continued consistency at this event compared to his 2024 performance, where he placed 69th overall. With such a strong swim result, there's an opportunity to build similar sharpness into the bike and run legs to help push toward an even higher overall finish next time out.
