Steady Effort Highlighted by a Standout Surge Late in the Run Teresa Hislop completed her Olympic-distance race in 5:01:16, moving through the Snake River swim in just under 33 minutes before transitioning into a bike leg that averaged roughly 11 mph across the rolling 23-mile course. Her bike pacing showed real strength in the middle miles, particularly a fast 12.57-mile stretch covered at nearly 12.7 mph, showing solid power once she settled into a rhythm. The run was where Teresa found her groove late, especially during a 1.2-mile stretch where she jumped to 14th overall and 5th in her gender field for that split a notable surge in the middle of the run course. She closed out the race with a strong finishing kick, covering the final tenth of a mile at an 8:13 pace. A great showing of finishing strong when it matters most.
