Age-Group Champion Powers to a Breakout Sprint Finish Colby Wilkins turned in a statement performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, crossing the line in 1:24:27 to claim first place in the 20-29 age division and finish 8th overall out of 570 athletes. He was efficient in the water, clocking a swim split good for 17th overall, and his bike leg stood out most averaging roughly 18 mph over the 12.45-mile course, a pace that vaulted him into the top 10 by T2. He closed with a steady run split near 7:31/mile pace, holding his position through the finish. This result marks major growth from his 2025 Spudman sprint outing, where he finished 58th overall in 1:31:45. Shaving over seven minutes off his time and climbing 50 spots overall shows real progress across all three disciplines, with the bike leg emerging as his biggest strength this year.
