A Strong Swim and Steady Bike Set Up a Tough Run Mike Peterson completed the Olympic distance at Spudman in 3:03:52, finishing 585th overall and 13th in the mens 60-64 division. This result came in slower than his previous two showings at this race2:42:08 in 2025 and 2:47:10 in 2024suggesting a tougher day than usual. His swim was a clear highlight, coming in just under 21 minutes and placing him 8th in his division exiting the water. On the bike, he averaged roughly 19.3 mph, a strong and consistent effort that pushed him into the top 100 of his age group at points along the course. The run was where the day unraveled a bithis pace slipped steadily, from an 11:36 mile early on to over 14:00 by the final stretch. Shoring up run endurance in training could help him close the gap on his faster 2025 finish.
