Steady Pacing with a Standout Mid-Race Surge Marjorie Watkins completed the Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 5:01:26, finishing 465th among women and 182nd in the Non-Competitive division out of a strong field. She opened with a composed swim down the Snake Rivers current, then moved into the bike leg with a steady, sustainable effort, averaging roughly 11.7 mph over the ride. The run began at a measured pace, but Marjorie found a notable gear in the middle miles during one stretch, she surged to 15th overall and 6th among women, a real highlight of her day. Transitions ran a bit long, so tightening T1 and T2 could be a good focus for shaving time in future races. Overall, a well-paced effort with a strong finishing kick.
