Bike Strength Powers a Well-Balanced Olympic Effort Bart Hamilton turned in a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing in 3:05:37. He exited the water in 23:41 and moved through a snappy T1 (4:20) before showing his strongest form on the bike, covering the 24.8-mile course in 1:21:26 an average of roughly 18.3 mph. That bike leg was clearly his high point, as he climbed from 672nd place after the swim to as high as 193rd overall mid-ride, a testament to strong, consistent power on two wheels. After a quick T2 (2:56), Bart settled into the run, completing the 10K in 1:13:15 with splits hovering between 11:30 and 12:00 per mile. While his run pace was steady, it settled a bit compared to his bike surge, dropping him to 616th overall by the finish. Overall, a smart, well-executed race with a bike leg worth building on for future pacing strategy on the run.
