Steady Swim, Strong Bike Surge, and a Fast Finish Seal a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Brandon Wallace completed the Olympic Triathlon in 2:37:22, finishing 131st overall and 18th in the mens 35-39 division out of a large field. His swim set a solid foundation, but it was the bike leg where he truly excelledcovering the course at roughly 19.0 mph and climbing as high as 96th overall mid-ride, a clear sign of strong pacing and power on two wheels. The run began at a brisk 7:57 first mile, and while the middle miles settled into the mid-8:00s, Brandon closed with authoritydropping to an 8:19 pace by mile 31 and finishing with a blistering 4:49 pace over the final tenth of a mile. That strong finishing kick helped him hold his position through the final stretch, capping off a well-executed race with a bike performance that stood out as the highlight of the day.
