A Steady Bike Split Anchors a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Steve Combe completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:59:40, finishing 1316th overall out of 1987 participants. His bike leg was a highlight, covering the course at an average of roughly 24.7 mph, a strong showing that helped anchor his overall race. The swim came in at 26:43, followed by an 11:29 transition, and he closed out with a run split of 1:37:59. Compared to his 2025 Spudman performance, where he finished in 3:22:56, this year's time was slower by over 36 minutes. The bike leg remains a strength to build on, while the run and transition times offer opportunities to focus training heading into future races. Overall, Steve continues to show consistent participation in the Olympic-distance category at Spudman, with room to refine pacing across the run segment.
