Speedy Swim and Bike Set Up a Gritty Run Finish Jersey Kennedy opened her Spudman Sprint with a strong swim, exiting the water 7th overall and 4th among women, showing real comfort in the current. She carried that momentum onto the bike, holding a swift pace that averaged roughly 15.5 mph over the 12.45-mile course and briefly sat inside the top 10 overall through the opening miles before settling into 49th overall by T2. The run proved to be the toughest leg of the day, with her pace slowing considerably in the back half, dropping her to 175th overall and 74th among women by the finish. Given the strength she showed in the water and on the bike, building run endurance could help her carry that early speed all the way to the finish line in future races.
