His bike leg was a clear highlight, averaging roughly 15.4 mph and propelling him from 963rd to 743rd overall during that stretch, a strong surge that reflects consistent training gains on two wheels. The run told a slightly different story, with pacing gradually easing from the mid-15s to just over 16 minutes per mile in the closing miles. Given the strength shown on the bike, dialing in even pacing across the run could help him convert that momentum into an even faster finish next year. Overall, this was a well-rounded performance and a clear continuation of Michael's upward trajectory at this race.
