Steady Effort Anchored by a Strong Bike Leg At just 17 years old, CapriLee Amos of Hooper, UT, completed the Olympic distance course in 4:28:01, finishing among nearly 2,000 triathletes at Spudman. Her swim and bike legs showed solid pacing, with the bike segment covering roughly 24.4 miles at an average of about 13.3 mph a strong showing that moved her up through the field before transitioning into the run. The run proved to be the toughest stretch of her day, with pacing slowing in the later miles. For her next race, focusing on maintaining run cadence and building endurance for the back half of the course could help her close out races with more consistent splits. Her performance reflects a well-rounded athletic base with clear potential for continued growth in multisport racing.
