Steady Pacing Through a Strong Bike Leg Highlights a Solid Olympic Finish Kelson Kaas completed the Olympic distance course in 4:05:17, finishing 1348th overall out of 1987 participants and 960th among male competitors. His swim came in at 27:46, followed by a T1 transition of 8:49 an area where trimming time could yield quicker overall results. On the bike, Kaas averaged roughly 13.1 mph across the leg, with a standout mid-ride segment (B5) covering 5.6 miles in just 21:38, a pace far quicker than his surrounding splits and good enough for 441st overall on that stretch. T2 was efficient at 2:44, transitioning smoothly into the run. Kaas completed the run leg in 1:34:20, maintaining a consistent, controlled effort through the final miles. While his overall run pace slowed compared to his bike surge, he showed steady composure through the finish, closing out the race with a strong final 0.1-mile push at a 5:08 pace.
