Bike Strength Drives Solid Olympic Finish Holli Starr crossed the line in 2:58:29 at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, placing 6th in her 45-49 division. Her bike leg stood out as the highlight, averaging roughly 17.6 mph and moving her from 701st overall after T1 up to 387th at one point on the course a clear sign of strong cycling fitness and pacing on two wheels. Compared to her three previous Spudman finishes (2023: 2:45:07, 2024: 2:51:55, 2025: 2:53:09), this year's result continues a gradual slide in overall time, now racing in a new age group. The run, covering just over 6 miles in 1:03:22, settled into a steady low-10:00s per mile pace but lacked the negative-split punch seen on the bike. Sharpening run pacing off the bike could help her close the gap and return closer to her 2023 form.
