Powerful Bike Leg Fuels Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Kim Hoth turned in a strong cycling performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, averaging roughly 15 mph on the bike course. She built real momentum in the middle miles, climbing as high as 3rd in her 55-59 division and 118th among all women at one checkpointan impressive surge that showed off her cycling strength before settling into the pack again by the bike finish. The run proved tougher, with her per-mile pace gradually easing from the 13-minute range early on to the mid-15s by the final stretch. This marks Kims fourth consecutive Spudman finish, and while her overall time was a bit off her personal best years, its worth noting she raced this year in a new, older age division. Her swim and transitions were consistent with her established pattern, and the bike remains a clear strength to keep building on for future races.
