Steady Bike Split Fuels a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Stephen turned in a well-rounded Olympic triathlon performance, highlighted by a strong bike leg. Covering the bike course at roughly 16.4 mph, he moved up significantly in the field during this segment, climbing as high as 162nd overall at one point. His swim was efficient and put him in solid position exiting the water, setting up the rest of his race nicely. The run leg settled into a consistent rhythm, holding pace in the 10:1511:00 per mile range through the final miles. One area worth focusing on for future races is transition efficiency T1 took over five minutes, notably longer than T2's quick 1:32, and tightening that gap could shave meaningful time off the overall result. Overall, a strong, complete effort with a bike performance that stood out as the clear strength of the day.
