Age-Group Champion Delivers a Powerful All-Around Performance Ryan Kingston capped off his third Spudman appearance with a dominant showing, claiming the top spot in the 45-49 age division and finishing 11th overall out of nearly 2,000 athletes. His swim was a standout, clocking in among the top 60 overall and putting him in position to attack the bike course. On two wheels, Kingston averaged an impressive 23.3 mph, a pace that vaulted him into the top 5 overall for that segment and set up a strong run finish. Compared to his previous Spudman starts, Kingston's 2:11:07 finish continues a pattern of consistent, competitive racinghe's now podiumed in his age group in all three appearances at this race. While his 2024 time remains his fastest, his ability to close with a sub-7:30 pace over the final miles of the run shows solid endurance depth. Continued focus on transition efficiency could shave a few more seconds off future results.
