Fast Swim Fuels a Well-Rounded Olympic Effort Vanessa Williams opened her 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon with a standout swim, clocking 20:17 to rank 32nd among all women and first in her Athenian division. She backed that up with a 1:31:13 bike split, averaging roughly 16.1 mph over the course, before closing with a 1:22:37 run to finish in 3:19:36. Compared to her 2024 Spudman result of 3:10:45, this year's time was about nine minutes slower, yet she improved her position among female finishers, moving from 274th to 183rd in a field of similar size. Her Athenian division ranking slipped slightly from 3rd to 5th. The swim remains a clear strength, and tightening the run split could help her close the gap on that early lead in future races.
