Strong Bike Split Fuels a Runner-Up Age Group Finish Wade Argyle turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance at Spudman, finishing 2nd in the 55-59 Solo Male division and 76th out of 566 men overall. His swim covered 0.86 miles in 21:12, followed by a brisk transition, then a bike leg where he averaged roughly 21 mph over the course a segment strong enough to move him into the top 45 overall on the road. He closed with a 6.21-mile run in 57:06 to seal the podium finish in his division. Compared to his 2025 Spudman result, Wade's finishing time was just 1:32 slower, but his placement jumped dramatically from 169th to 76th among men, and from 13th to 2nd in his age group. That leap reflects meaningful gains in competitiveness even with a nearly identical overall time, largely driven by a faster, more efficient bike leg this year.
