Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Annika Rohloff #2234 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Bike Strength Fuels a Steady Olympic Debut Annika Rohloff of Ogden, UT, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 4:07:44. She began with a steady swim through the Snake Rivers current before a swift T1 transition got her onto the bike course quickly. The bike leg was clearly her strongest segmentaveraging roughly 14 mph overall, with several stretches climbing well above 15 mph, including one notable surge where her overall position jumped from the 1,400s into the 450s, a testament to her power on two wheels. Coming off the bike, Annikas T2 was efficient, setting her up for a run leg that held a consistent rhythm in the mid-15:00 min/mile range through to the finish. While the run pace cooled slightly compared to her bike gains, her overall pacing stayed even from start to finish. For future races, targeted run-specific training could help her carry more of that bike-leg momentum into the final stretch.
