Steady Bike Power Fuels a Strong Age-Group Finish Steven Bruderer completed the Olympic-distance course in 2:59:09, highlighted by a strong bike leg where he averaged roughly 18.1 mph over the ride, moving him up from 761st to 388th in his gender group by the bike's end. His run settled into a consistent rhythm, holding around a 10:08 per-mile pace through the middle miles before closing with a strong final surge, dropping to a 4:17 pace over the last tenth of a mile to the finish line. Compared to his 2022 Spudman performance, this year's overall time was about ten minutes slower, but he improved significantly within his 45-49 age division, climbing from 52nd to 28th place. His transitions were efficient, with T2 completed in just 2:15, reflecting sharp execution between the bike and run legs.
