Late Run Surge Fuels Steady Olympic Finish Alex Evans completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:46:29, finishing 259th overall and 22nd in the competitive 40-44 age group. He posted quick transitions, clearing T1 in just 3:28 and T2 in a brisk 1:53. On the bike, Alex averaged roughly 17.4 mph over the 24.4-mile course, holding a strong, consistent pace through each split segment. The run proved to be Alex's strongest asset this year he climbed from 578th place overall exiting T2 to 259th by the finish line, passing over 300 competitors during the 6.2-mile run leg. This marks his fourth Spudman finish, and while his 2026 time was slower than his previous three appearances (2:32:492:38:51), his ability to close strong on the run continues to be a defining strength worth building on for future races.
