Steady Bike Split Highlights a Well-Rounded Olympic Debut Michael Johnson completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:41:35, finishing 1162nd overall out of 1987 participants. His swim came in at 25:25, followed by a bike leg where he averaged roughly 1920 mph over the course, a strong, consistent effort that moved him up several positions in the field. That bike split stood out as his best relative performance of the day, ranking him inside the top 700 in his gender division at that point. Off the bike, Michael settled into a run pace averaging around 13:15 per mile, holding relatively steady from mile to mile with only minor fluctuation in effort.
