Strong Bike Leg Anchors a Steady Olympic Finish Ben Justice completed the Olympic-distance triathlon in 3:48:12, finishing 894th among men and 86th in the 40-44 age group. His swim was efficient, and he moved into transition smoothly with a swift 5:54 T1. The bike leg was clearly his strength Ben averaged nearly 15.9 mph over the course, with one stretch (miles ~8.822.9) covered at a blistering pace equating to over 17 mph, showing excellent power and consistency on two wheels. The run told a different story. After a brisk transition (T2 in 3:57), Ben's pace gradually slowed in the second half, dropping to around 15 minutes per mile in the final miles. This late fade suggests his run legs may benefit from additional endurance work following strong bike efforts, helping him carry more of that cycling strength into the final leg for an even more balanced overall performance.
